Wheelhouse Alumni Association Fishing Tournament

Rules

Four Categories:

  1. Heaviest Speckled Trout

  2. Heaviest Red Fish

  3. Heaviest Flounder

  4. Heaviest stringer

Payouts:

Pay out amounts will be determine based off the number of entered teams.

Each category pays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for a total of 12 payouts.

You can win multiple categories, but only win each category one time.

NOTE: ALL WINNERS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A POLYGRAPH EXAMINATION

Rules:

  1. Fishing starts no earlier than 5:00 am.

  2. The heaviest stringer can consist of 3 trout, 3 red fish and 5 Flounder

  3. Only one trout can be over 28”!!!  No Red Fish over 28” …!!! REMINDER … Trout can only be 15 to 20 inches with one over 28 … per new Texas state law.

  4. Any undersized/oversized fish will be automatically disqualified.

  5. Each team can have no more than four fishermen per team. You can have between 1 and 4 members.

  6. Full limit per person allowed and combine your best fish at weigh-in.

  7. Fish any Texas State water in boat, kayak, wade & bank fishing. All Fisherman MUST STAY within 100 yards of team members. If fishing with a boat, the entire team may only use one boat.

  8. Must be registered by 6-10-26 to guarantee a shirt with registration.

  9. You must be registered before the day of the fishing tournament 6-26-26.

  10. All fish entered are subject to inspection and seizure by the Tournament Judge after dissection and/or Tory meter if the Judge feels that the need is necessary.

  11. Only fish caught during the tournament hours are eligible. All fish should be fresh and in an edible condition. Fish that have been frozen, gutted, or mutilated will not be eligible and the angler attempting to weigh a fish that is not legal will be disqualified along with team members.

  12. All fish must be caught on rod and reel. Each team member may only fish with one rod and reel at a time.

  13. Any participant found to be in breach of tournament rules will be disqualified and will forfeit all fees and awards.

  14. Pooling or transfer of fish is strictly prohibited.

  15. When a tie exists, with respect to weight, then the first fish/stringer weighed in will be declared the winner, unless the Tournament Judge rules otherwise.

  16. All anglers must have a current Texas Fishing License and Saltwater Stamp

  17. All fish must be in the slot and no more than the Texas daily bag limit.

  18. The Tournament Directors decision will be final.
